Health Benefits
Daily avocado consumption has been shown to significantly increase microbial diversity in the large intestine, particularly the species Faecalibacterium, Lacnospira and Alistipes. (1)
Greater microbial diversity is connected with improved gut health.
Lower diversity of bacterial species is associated with a number of diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease and obesity. (2) (3)
Aiming to increase your microbial diversity with a smoothie like this one will only benefit your gut health and long term wellness.
